What a woman needs

This is weird. I wrote a hub earlier about What Guys Want. It was easy. So on the flip side I thought it would also be easy to write about what women just basically want. I mean - I should know because I am a woman. But I have also had a lot of women friends, and I can tell you, I'm pretty sure their priorities are all a little bit different. So, I'm going to try to narrow it down and give it a try.

I think first and foremost, women want to feel loved and cherished. And if you don't offer up that reassurance freely, that is when you get the dreaded questions about; "Does this make me look fat?" Or, "Is she prettier than me?" Those questions are not directed to the world in general. They are directed at you. It's how they judge if you really love them or not. If you are paying attention to them.

If and only if they feel good about themselves, then they can move on to other things and give you the space you need. Now I'm not saying this applies to ALL women, just a whole lot of them that I've known.

I think a big part of it can be blamed on society, and all those magazines and movies that use air brushing and magical photoshop type stuff. Even with an almost perfect lookinggirl, it seems like they just can't help themselves and they have to change up the photo at least a little bit. They even had the audacity to make Kate Middleton's waist smaller in her wedding gown when she married Prince William. WTF?

What kind of standards are they trying to set for us? And with the invention of HD TV, it's really giving us mixed signals. Suddenly it seems like all of our TV favorites are rapidly ageing. So a lot of women (Real Housewives comes to mind) Some women are having such extreme plastic surgery that they look like aliens. Or ducks. It's really scary.

So,please, guys. Just give your woman some reassurance. That's all they really want.

Okay - now from my personal perspective, what I want. I'm waiting for the day my man plans something, an event, a vacation, a party - something that is for me. I want him to plan something that shows me that he thinks I'm special. I KNOW that he does think I'm special to him. He married me and gave me some great children. He does all sorts of sweet little things for me all the time. So of course I want the one thing he's never done for me. I would love for him to surprise me and take me up in a hot air balloon. To just once plan something special - with me in mind. Knowing it will make me happy.

So, in that way, I guess we're a lot like men. When we do feel as if we have it all - we want just a little bit more. lmao!
