Stop The Party

When I was young, the word Party was a fun word. And America was just good 'ole America. We were a proud nation. One nation under God. Indivisible and Justice for All.

Now it seems as if so many of us are so caught up in aligning themselves with whoever or whatever Party they perceive represents the type of people they want to be viewed as, that they blindly agree with whatever that particular Party says. And they justify it by perpetuating any and all the lies they are told. It makes me sick and sad at the same time. Please Fellow Americans, I beg of you... do some actual research for yourself and make up your own minds about each individual issue, without caring which Party it falls under. Remember? We're supposed to be Indivisible.

One of the rules to overcome the enemy is to - "Divide and Conquer." Well, doesn't it seem like that is what is happening to us? People are afraid that if they Vote Independent, their vote won't count at all. I really believe that if enough of us stop and think for ourselves, that will change. With the use of the internet - we Should be able to make that happen.

I really don't fully agree or disagree with either Party anymore. I want to vote for common sense, no matter what the flavor of the month is telling me to think. The parties are so sneaky, manipulating the news and everything else, no one really knows what the hell to believe.

Some people seem to think that if they proclaim that they are Republicans, somehow aligning themselves with them will eventually give them a better chance at being rich and wealthy. Then I read this quote and couldn't help but LMAO - "A worker voting Republican is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders."

They get all bent out of shape about plans that would require the top richest 5% to pay more taxes. This upsets the hell out of some of my friends and family members who make between 2 & 3 Hundred Thousand a year. WHAT? That's not rich! Not even close to being the richest 5% of the country. So WHY are they getting so upset about that? The truly rich would laugh and sneer at them.

And then there are Democrats that want to give Illegal Aliens amnesty. Is that Justice to all of our ancestors and others that did follow the rules and go through the proper channels to obtain their citizenship? They wanted to be American Citizens so badly that they learned our language and tried to fit in as soon as possible. They didn't want to put up their own countries flags, change our National language, and act like they were still in their old countries.

Gun Control; Well Duh - in the words of Charlie Sheen - If owning a gun is illegal for licensed citizens, doesn't that put us at a distinct disadvantage against the criminals that don't obey the laws and do have lots of weapons. How are we supposed to defend ourselves?

Over crowded Prisons; okay, thats is a problem. The answer is to have Common Sense about who you do and who you don't let out. First and foremost --- DON'T LET OUT THE VIOLENT ONES! For God's Sake, If they are Murders, Pedophiles, or Rapists - don't let them out.

If they got busted for smoking pot, writing a hot check or peeing in public, let them out first.

Foreclosures; Instead of the Banks taking the Blame for Predatory Lending, some people would rather blame the people for trying to live above their means or buying more house than they should. Have you seen some of those houses? They did a show on 60 Minutes that showed 1000 kids that now ride a bus for homeless kids to school and back. They showed some of the homes those kids were thrown out of. I'll bet most of us wouldn't want to move our families into them. And if they didn't have to pay exorbitant interest rates, or get their monthly house payments suddenly raised by $700.00 because the banks decided they want more in Escrow.

What about the ones that could adjust and make the payments, then suddenly lost their jobs? That could happen to ANY OF US. From the research I did the other day. Being Wealthy means being able to lose your income and still maintain your current lifestyle for ten years. So are YOU really wealthy?

I know this hub will probably cause controversy, but if it succeeds in getting some people to really think for themselves, without the cloaks of a particular Party over their heads than I have done my job. Use today's technology to truly do some research. Be Proud to Stand Up for Yourself and make your own decisions. You don't HAVE to be a Republican OR a Democrat. Be an American citizen. Think about the country we are leaving our children.
