Kudos to American Idol
53It's Hot tonight!
They Did It.
I'm sitting here watching the last 30 minutes of the 9th season of American Idol. It's a little hard to write this, because I have tears in my eyes. I am just blown away by this years finale. And, as many of you know, I put it in writing, that I had doubts at the beginning of this season.
Some of us thought American Idol was on it's last leg. We thought that this may be the last season. It took about an instant to see Simon's boredom, Paula had left, it seemed like a good bet that it was almost over. Man - am I glad I didn't put money on it.
Between bringing back the top ten, and having them joined by the original greats, the good byes to Simon, and Paula making an appearance it was truly great. However, I must admit, when Casey James (my personal favorite) was singing "Every Rose has it's Thorn, and BRET MICHAELS walked out to join him? That is when the teary eyes began.
O-M-G! I don't even know what to think of Bret anymore. How? How is he doing all of this? I've been truly worried about him this week. My Mother instincts were yelling at him to get back in bed. But I have to admit, it was thrilling to see him with Casey tonight.
And now - there is Janet Jackson. Michaels little sister. To those of you that keep up with my articles, you know how I feel about Michael Jackson. You go Janet. She looks HOT tonight. Top Form.
So who wins American Idol this season? I still don't know. I'm not sure I really care, I like both of the last two. But you know what? I think, for those of us that have followed the show this year -we all won. This has been the best Season Finale I have ever seen!
Okay, I'll admit I am partial to Lee DeWyze because, he really, really wants it and every thing that goes along with it. It really is HIS DREAM. Crystal said she wanted to win it just because of her son. I get the feeling she would rather be a stay at home Mom. And there is nothing wrong with that. I wish more Mom's could do that.
But I have a feeling it's going to be Crysta Bowersoxl. Especially seeing her singing with Joe Cocker. She's more of a, um, mover. But man, Lee puts his heart and soul in it.
So before it comes to an end, I'm saying, "Good night, yall! I'm going to enjoy the show."
Drive Safely,
KT Banks Well, Well, Well... I just have to add to this now. Lee Won! The look on his face was priceless. I'm so happy for him.
