Bridezilla Maniacs
56Happily Ever After...
How stupid ARE you?
Have you seen the show Bridezilla's? Or one of the other shows about women planning a wedding? They make me sick.
Some one needs to tell these horrible human beings, that they should concentrate on their upcoming marriage, more than planning a wedding. Anyone that marries one of these maniacs has to be crazy too.
I was engaged for seven months before my wedding. I enjoyed looking through Bridal magazines, trying on wedding gowns, and most of all, spending time with my fiance. It was one of the best times of our lives. We had so much fun and the plans for the wedding just came naturally.
I will admit that I did get nervous the week before the wedding. I had been married before, and lets just say - it turned into a nightmare. So understandably, I was a little scared to try it again. But this man was different. He taught me what real love is all about. He loved my son from my first marriage. He loved everything about me. And he was (is) freakin' gorgeous! I had never seen such a good looking person in real life before I met him. In the beginning, he made me speechless, and that is no small feat.
Even though we had about 200 people at our wedding, it was still pretty simple. He was happy. I was happy. Everybody was happy. It was a glorious memorable day for everyone. People still talk about what a perfect wedding it was. And now, 24 years later, we are still wonderfully happy with our marriage. We've had ups and downs, and learned from each one, together.
So, my question is...Why do these women today want to ruin what should be one of the best times of their lives? Are they just doing it to appear on TV? WHY do they want to look like total Bitches and Idiots on National Television? If that is their real personalities, why would anyone want to marry them?
As I stated, I watched one episode of one of the shows, so another thing I don't understand, is why does anyone watch it? They make me so mad, I just want to slap those women, I sure wouldn't stay friends with them. It goes against everything I am to treat other people so badly. Just because someone finally wants to marry them, suddenly they think they own the world and everybody has to bow down to them? I don't get it. How the hell are they going to act when they get pregnant? I sure wouldn't want to be around for that.
Anyway, it's only my opinion, but if some of those girls are acting, they deserve an Academy award.

KT,
Here's the link. Laura's got over 1600 followers, and like me, she doesn't cheat to get them. She's a good writer, and good people.

No problem. Hey up there where I said .." and not the next 25" I forgot to put in the word "years" after the 25! (laughing)

Nice read...
I have decided that those horrid brides and their poor grooms must not be for real - I can't believe that anyone would actually marry those witches after seeing their ridiculous behavior over such trivial things. They must be acting. How this show stays on is beyond my comprehension - after a couple of episodes I am disgusted.
Although I am all for nice weddings, the wedding itself is the least important part of a marriage. If these brides don't realize that, there is not much hope for their marriages lasting.

KT,
I'm with ya girl. I think a 50% marriage failure rate my be an indicator that people spend too much time planning the next 60 or 90 days and not the next 25.The groom's still growing up, and the bride wants the wedding to be perfect. Six months of wedding planning, and three minutes of thought to deal being made with God. Awesome topic and awesome hub. This is deserving of some heavy traffic KT. I'm going to see if I can get Izettl over here. She's like the sister I never had. and I love her like a sister. We're each other's biggest fans, but she can out write me hands down. You two should get aquainted. Her last hub is on marriage, and it's awesome. I'm going to e-mail her and send a link, then get back here with a link to hers. I'll be back!
