Did you know that a lot of authors are not who they say they are? A lot of us write under a pseudonym or a pen name. When I was a teenager and into my twenties, I read a lot of romance novels. I was shocked to learn that some of my favorite authors were actually men.

And in reverse, some women write action and adventure novels, either using a manly name or - using initials, because men really don't like to be seen sitting around airports reading a book by a woman. It sounds pretty silly, but take a good look around next time you are waiting in an airport.

My husband and I are using the name KT Banks because we both write our novels and magazine articles. We have been married for over 20 years and can usually finish each others sentences anyway.

When you do see two names on a book, it's usually because one of them started out as a ghost writer. Most famous people that write books - really don't. They say they wrote it for various reasons, but the truth is they may not have written any of it at all. They may have had the idea.

We have created our own website, KT-Banks.com, where we have blogs, video's, a book trailer, excerpts from our books, updates, and book reviews. You can even become a Member and be eligible for Prizes and Products.

We have had Book signing events at Barnes and Noble, local book stores and other places. Our current book is Stand and Protect. It is available at Barnes and Noble and other book stores, and as an e-book, on Kindle and on Amazon.com and other on-line book stores.

One of my favorite book reviews is one we just received this week. They said they loved the book and couldn't put it down. Then they said that they had read the book reviews, and they had thought it was just people trying to be nice. And now they know what everyone has been talking about. How funny is that?

The members of our website can also write comments, and we survey them sometimes for suggestions for the website. We are still pretty new to this and we don't mind asking for help or advice from anyone that wants to share with us.

We are members of several social sites, such as facebook, Linkedin, plaxo, affluence.org, Digg, Kalon, Author's Den, MySpace and more. We have three video's on Youtube, and on our website.

We have been in talks with people in LA about making the series into commercial box office films. but I'm not holding my breath. It really is a hurry up and wait kind of thing. And it takes up a lot of time.

Please feel free to visit KT-Banks.com  and if you don't become a member, please sign the guest book.
